Paul's photoblog

Following Richard's photoblog a couple of weeks ago (which you can see in the Blog section), Paul decided to document a day in the life of a rock drummer last week. Here is his story...

10.30am - First stop of the day, setting up for Jo Whiley's Live Lounge at BBC Maida Vale.

12.20pm - Performing our cover of 'Work'. Ciaran rocking the melodica, Dan trying to keep a straight face while singing Kelly Rowland's outrageous lyrics.

12.30pm - After performance, relieved it went well! In the background, cameraman Grahame (with glasses) follows us around for the day, gathering footage for an upcoming special feature TV show on the making of 'Join With Us'.

2.30pm - Quick dash home, overalls on, just enough time to try and fix the Chevy's gearbox (!) We're going out tonight...

3pm - One Vacuum Modulator. Mended. Me very oily and very pleased with myself.

5pm - Back in Central London for Live Acoustic show at Capital Radio although we seem to be doing more chatting than playing....

5.20pm - Rock Pose No.235 - The Stab 'n' Pout.

5.30pm - Dan wants the screaming crowds behind him turned up in his headphones. He doesn't appreciate being told they're not actually real...

8pm - Back home to pick up the Chevy and then down to the Ace Cafe in North London for the monthly Hot Rod Night. Car Pose no.114 - Less is more. Keep still. Look moody.

9pm - My Camaro's older brother, complete with 9 litre racing motor (!). Hmmmm dribble... Sorry, being a car bore.

10pm - Cold but happy (both of us). A good day all in all! Time to get home, interviews all day tomorrow. Night night :-)
